Annotation
After their father’s disappearance, Cinder leaves home for a servant job at the castle. But it isn’t long before her sister Ella is brought to the castle herself—the most dangerous place in all the kingdom for both her and Cinder. Cinder and Ella is a Cinderella story like no other and one you'll never forget.

Cinder & Ella is a new catchy story based on the legendary fairy tale of Cinderella. However, this story has almost nothing in common with original fairy tale except for a few characters. So, I guarantee, that you certainly have never heard fairy tale like This.

Instead of Cinderella and her step-sisters, we have here four sisters – Katrina, Beatrice, Cinder and Ella. They live with their parents in peace until the Prince Monticello’s visit. But do not expect a Prince Charming. This Prince is an evil, greedy, treacherous and a liar, which controls the dark forces. Soon after the prince's visit, father of four sisters disappear and it have an impact on the psyche of all. Mother totally collapses and closes into herself, so it is now on the Cinder and Ella to take care of mother and two younger sisters. Cinder leaves home and finds work in the castle. Ella ultimately goes due to the bad atmosphere in the house and finds the work of nanny in family with two small kids. When Cinder returning home for the weekend, is horrified when she cannot find Ella. A prince knows everything about cinder's situation and he ordered a few knights to find Ella and bring to the castle. In the castle - Ella meets her sister and discovers that the prince hides something in a locked chamber. Something like her lost father.

I enjoyed reading this book. From the beginning I was concerned with what it will be, but in the end I liked it. This is a lighter read for a long while even though it is relatively darker than the original with a couple of bad characters. Apart from evil, quarrels and fear we are dealing here with love. Between sisters and also between Ella and Knight Tanner. He is one of my favorite characters of this book. He’s kind, nice, fair, caring and a he loves Ella wholeheartedly.

At the end I was hoping that at least prince dies or something happens to him, but it didn’t happened. He just walked away. At least that Ella found her father, got married and they lived happily ever after. Finally I see the original character of Cinderella - a happy ending.

Definitely I don't regret that I read this book. I liked it, I liked the idea, the storyline, the characters, but one thing I do not like – excess of narration and describing. I would appreciate rather more direct speech.
