Ingredients:
- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- Sesame seeds optional, for garnish
Instructions:
Soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger should all be mixed together in a bowl
Spread the beef slices out evenly and let them sit for 30 minutes
Put vegetable oil in a big pan or wok and heat it over medium-high heat
Cook the beef until it turns brown, which should take about two to three minutes
Take the beef out of the pan and set it aside
Put broccoli florets and beef broth in the same pan
For about 4 to 5 minutes, or until the broccoli is soft, cover and cook
Add 2 tablespoons of water to a small bowl and mix the cornstarch to make a slurry
Add the slurry to the pan with the broccoli and beef broth and mix it in
For about one to two minutes, cook until the sauce gets thicker
Add the beef back to the pan and mix it well with the broccoli and sauce
Add one to two more minutes of cooking until everything is hot
Add sesame seeds as a garnish if you want
Place hot on top of noodles or rice
